Sophie Rose is a curator, arts writer, and editor working on Gadigal Country. She is currently Associate Curator – Programs at Artspace, Sydney, where she oversees the organisation’s Studio Program, public programs, and outreach. 

Sophie has contributed to various exhibitions, programs, and publications at MoMA PS1; SITE Santa Fe International, the Hessel Museum of Art, Bard College; and the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA), where she was Assistant Curator from 2017 to 2022. Alongside her curatorial practice, Sophie has contributed critical and scholarly writing for publications such as e-flux Journal, Australian and New Zealand Journal of Art, Art Asia Pacific, and Un Magazine. She is the editor of Glot: Four Conversations on Voice (2024) and a forthcoming monograph on the artist, poet, and composer JJJJJerome Ellis (2026).

Working across multiple plaforms—from exhibitions to publications, programs, and residencies—she approaches contemporary art spaces as sites for dialogue, research, and renewed ways of seeing.
