Sophie Rose is a curator and arts writer working on Gadigal Country. She is currently Associate Curator – Programs at Artspace, Sydney, where she oversees the organisation’s Studio Program, public programs, and outreach. 

Sophie has contributed to various exhibitions, programs, and publications at MoMA PS1; SITE Santa Fe International, the Hessel Museum of Art, Bard College; and the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA), where she was Assistant Curator from 2017 to 2022. Alongside her curatorial practice, Sophie has contributed critical and scholarly writing for publications such as e-flux Journal, Australian and New Zealand Journal of Art, Art Asia Pacific, and Un Magazine. She is the editor of Glot: Four Conversations on Voice (2024) and a forthcoming monograph on the artist, poet, and composer JJJJJerome Ellis (2026).
