Sophie Rose is a curator and arts writer working on Gadigal Country. She is currently Associate Curator – Programs at Artspace, Sydney. 

Sophie has contributed to various exhibitions, programs, and publications at MoMA PS1; SITE Santa Fe International, the Hessel Museum of Art, Bard College; the University of Queensland Art Museum; and the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA), where she was Assistant Curator from 2017 to 2022. In 2022, she was awarded the inaugural Dame Quentin Bryce AD CVO John Monash Scholarship to support her Master of Arts at the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College, NY. Alongside her curatorial practice, Sophie has contributed critical and scholarly writing for publications such as e-flux Journal, Australian and New Zealand Journal of Art, Art Asia Pacific, and Un Magazine, and was the editor of the book of artist interviews, Glot: Four Conversations on Voice (2024). Her recent research focuses on language, disability, and psychoanalysis in contemporary art.
